Making their first acquaintance in Miami Beach Senior High School, Rodolfo Troncoso, born in Santiago, Chile in 1979, then raised in Barcelona, Spain and Johan Nebb, born in Miami, Florida in 1980, prove how two worlds were destined meet to collaborate their talents. From the start of their friendship they would perform in school functions and ceremonies for Dade County Public Schools and the City of Miami and Miami Beach under the tutelage of Clark D. Burris. Of the countless performances, playing for Janet Reno’s visit to Miami and Alex Penelas’ inauguration to mayor ceremony stand out above all. In addition to functions, Rodolfo and Johan competed in many nation wide ensemble, orchestra and chamber competitions. In the cities of New York, Atlanta, and Orlando, Rodolfo and Johan were awarded the prize of Grand Champion for their school.

After High School Rodolfo continued his career on the road touring the United States with Flamenco artist, Alex Fox, playing the bass, rhythm, guitar and vocals. Highlight of the tour included performances at New York Lincoln Center, Pennsylvania QVC and Las Olas River Front in Ft. Lauderdale. Rodolfo also continued his classical career playing Joaquin Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez with the Southwest Michigan Symphony, the San Jose Chamber Orchestra and the Lima Ohio Philharmonic. In addition to performances Rodolfo wrote many popular genre songs and has done studio work like writing music for songwriter Rudy Perez as well as for the soundtrack for “Beach High the Movie.”

As for Johan, he later continued his classical guitar education at the University of Miami under the instruction of the late Juan Mercadal and Dr. Rene Gonzalez. In addition, Johan had the honor of performing for such artists as Manuel Barrueco, The Assad Duo, The L.A. Quartet and Elliot Fisk. During that time Johan was invited to perform with and solo for many orchestras and chamber ensembles state wide as well as for the University. Johan graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Music Performance and was an honored member of the Guitar Association of Florida, the National Dean’s List as well as the Golden Key Honor Society. After graduation, Johan was invited to pursue a Masters Degree with full scholarship. Along with the honor of receiving a Masters education Johan was also privileged to teach undergraduate music courses at the University of Miami during that time.

Presently, their collaboration has created a new path for the two and has brought upon a lot of success to these musicians.  The have perfected a unique fusion of Rumba Flamenca, Classical  Music and Latin Jazz and they will bring that virtuosity to the philharmonic stage.  “Excitingly, this young duo has tons of flare and talent that can only grow in time.
